Our client, one of the top glossy cover Newspaper Outfits in the country with an active online community, is desirous of manning its operations with capable and experienced professionals to drive and achieve the company’s objectives of overwhelming market dominance. To achieve this, the company is looking to fill the under-listed position within its organisational structure:

Senior Correspondence and Correspondence- NTT 002
Salary Range: N70,000- N100,000

Purpose of the Job:
• Gather information, prepare stories, and make broadcasts that inform us about local, State, national, and international events;
• Present points of view on current issues; and report on the actions of public officials, corporate executives, interest groups, and others who exercise power.
• Report on news occurring in the other states where you have been stationed
• Investigate leads and news tips, look at documents, observe events at the scene, and interview people.
• Compose stories and report “live” from the scene , such as accidents, political rallies, visits of celebrities, or business closings—as assigned.
• Gather news about specific topics, such as crime or education, health, politics, foreign affairs, sports, theater, consumer affairs, social events, science, business, or religion.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication/ Journalism/ Sociology or related field
• At least 2 years correspondence experience


Person Synopsis
• Ability to work under great pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent General knowledge.
• Professional writing with good interviewing skills.
• Superior news judgment, solid math and typing skills and attention to detail
• Must be proficient with computers and word processing systems.
