• HND in Hydraulic Engineering related course
• Carry according to Hydraulics and Service Controller/Co-ordinator instruction
• To attend and input in Daily Production Meetings
• Ensure staff are sufficiently trained on fitting of components, bearings, keys and general location and lubrication
• Ensure staff are sufficiently trained on fitting of hydraulic components, fittings, hoses, fixed pipework, motors, pumps and valves.
• To utilise labourers on semi-skilled tasks when possible, ensuring adequate supervision
• To follow instructions given in written form or verbally from Hydraulic and Service Controller
• To supervise and effect all works according to PDI documentation
• To supervise and effect all works according to FAT documentation
• To monitor and maintain condition and department tools and special equipment
• Time served Engineering and/or Hydraulic Craftsman. Work experience in a similar role.
• Good knowledge of Hydraulic techniques. Ability to organise and manage resources.
• Manages all Hydraulic Systems on board with regards to repairs, maintenance and planning to ensure the equipment is working effectively and safely
• Perform an excellent standard of maintenance on all hydraulic systems so as to minimise the risk of delay through equipment breakdown, in line with planned preventative maintenance systems.
• Check and maintain oil levels on all systems, analyse and maintain logs.
• Take all necessary safety precautions when working on Systems
• Ensure that all reporting procedures and routines are adhered to.

• Applicants must have experience with the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial / offshore hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as drilling equipment, bridges and pedestal cranes.
• A familiarity with the operation and maintenance of PLS and Servo controlled systems is important as is a knowledge of filtration standards and oil analyses.
