One of our Client, a leading Islamic Bank, is urgently looking for Misys Equation Expert - Functional for its Bahrain branch:

Qualification : Bachelor’s degree Computer Science or relevant qualification
Experience : 04+ years
Job Location : Bahrain

Job Responsibilities:

To look after and supervise the Equation Core banking system and in-charge of day to day core banking operations, branch operations etc: He will be responsible for:

• Working closely with other computer professionals such as Heads of Development, Alternative Delivery Channels, Applications and Programmers etc.
• Identifying what the needs of the bank staff are and meeting these needs through proper data research Collecting data, organizing it and managing it.
• Collecting data, organizing it and managing it.
• Writing precise instructions through query like programming language for the computer to collect and sort out relevant data for immediate reports or other related matters.
• Ensuring that computer systems and databases works as well as they should i.e. database performance tuning.
• Testing computer database systems to ensure that they are working properly.
• Ensuring back up for data is made on a regular basis in case data gets lost or destroyed.

• Recovering lost computer data or data which has been corrupted.
• Ensuring the integrity and security of any collected data. Random monitoring to ensure unauthorized individuals should not be able to access the data including hacking into the system.
• In case of any problems in the database, as administrator fix it to ensure proper functioning of the system.
• Overseeing and controlling data resources in an organization.
• Spend a lot of time in front of the computer & can work from home via VPN links to meet deadlines and avoid all time working in office.
• iSeries and MIMIX administration. Back up Security Officer for the CB systems.
Skills Required:

• Minimum 3 years hands on experience in Equation based operations of a bank.
• Excellent knowledge in Misys Equation, Equation Parameters, Equation major interfaced applications like, EBA & RPG skills,
• Knowledge in iSeries & MIMIX Administration is a preferred/desired factor for the position
• General Banking knowledge, Teamwork Skills, Problem solving skills, Hard worker and good interpersonal skills.
