La Farist - Proofreader

I am an American residing in the United States. I first learned about the world of Nollywood while residing in Italy where a lot of my friends are Nigerian and would lend my husband and I films to watch so that we weren't stuck watching Italian movies (at the time, I didn't speak nor understand Italian). Upon returning to the U.S. we sought out African owned stores that sold movies. I absolutely love them! Not even in the U.S. can we come up with such plots and endings as is done in Nigeria (as an aside, I watched "Beyonce - President's Daughter" and truly was surprised and saddened by that ending).
What I have noticed and only because I am in the business world and am a native English speaker is some of the grammatical errors often made in the films.
While, in the U.S., we hear various accents and can, of course, figure out what the person means, I would like to see Africans, Nigerians, reflected in a way that will make more people take notice. That will begin with grammatical and some pronunciation issues.
I would love to create a job that will allow me to help with that. As stated, I reside in the U.S. but am interested in seeing the transcript, before it is set to begin filming and I will make some grammatical changes so that when spoken, it is without errors. In this way, I believe that I can help the actors be flawless.
I hope you will entertain my suggestion: my email address is aroundtheclocksecretary@gmail.com
I hope to hear from you!!
P.S. Keep making awesome movies - I'll be watching!!
