Chief Executive Officer – Health Insurance Business
The overall objective of the role will be to review and re-formulate the strategy of the business and then to implement, give direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organization's philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives.
Major Accountabilities:
Operational -- All aspects of the day to day running of the business , administration and support
Program, Product and Service Delivery -- Oversees design, marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of programs, products and services
Financial, Tax, Risk and Facilities Management -- Recommends yearly budget for Board approval and prudently manages organization's resources within those budget guidelines according to current laws and regulations
Human Resource Management -- Effectively manages the human resources of the organization according to authorized personnel policies and procedures that fully conform to current laws and regulations
Community and Public Relations -- Assures the organization and its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented in strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders
The role will be responsible for it’s own board for the business. The position reports into the Group CEO.


The type of individual required:
Have successfully operated at CEO, Deputy CEO or similar level for a minimum of 3 years
Experience within the same or similar industry/environment (health insurance) a strong bias for growth having worked globally or locally
Tertiary education essential: CA, MBA or similar qualifications
Will have previously managed a multi-site business
Previously been responsible for and successfully run, lead and grown a team of a similar size; current business is 150 people across the country with 9 offices
Proven ability to establish and build relationships – convert ideas to revenue streams; ultimately grow the profits for the business
Demonstrated credibility
