Field maintenance engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION : Field Maintenance Engineers required by our client to support it's Long Term Service Agreements in Lagos. Our client has supplied more than 15,000 units to customers in nearly 120 countries and is investing in new products for the oil and gas industry and for distributed electricity. Candidates should be Nigerian nationals with excellent written and verbal English skills.




The Field Maintenance Engineer will provide in country technical support and field service. The key responsibilities are to ensure that activity on site is carried out in a professional manner to maximise the availability of the equipment.
Work will be varied from removing engines, carrying our boroscopes and installing the equipment (this may mean managing sub contractors on site). Candidates should have experience of working with the customer closely and communicating progress, issues and requirements in a professional manner.





You will provide a full professional service to the Project Manager to ensure minimized downtime and provide fault finding/diagnostic advice to Field Maintenance Engineers and other Technical Support staff in the Company. You will also carry out scheduled maintenance activities and also assist with installation and commissioning new units and carry out upgrades on existing equipment.

You will be the customer interface for the Business and provide both technical support and a field service role. In addition, you will take responsibility for ensuring compliance with the customer’s and our clients Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures. You may be required to provide technical support outside normal working hours, often at short notice, in response to unscheduled breakdown events, in accordance with customer expectations.




You may also be required, on occasions, to work out of country to support other contracts and you will be available on a call out basis.





The Field Maintenance Engineer would also be responsible for writing reports detailing issues with tooling, parts shortages and overall progress with respect to the job.
Excellent basic salary available and regular paid overtime.
