Compliance Officer




Position Purpose
To be responsible for overseeing, monitoring, auditing and managing compliance issues within the company. Identify compliance and government risk, provide solutions and manage the change effectively

Key Performance Areas
•Implement the compliance framework and lead compliance efforts for SSA by designing and implementing internal controls and standards of practice to assure compliance with applicable local laws, regulations and the compliance requirements
•Manage audits and investigations into compliance issues, including but not limited to sales and marketing activities
•Evaluate and audit financial transactions and ensure they are in keeping with local and company laws
•Respond to requests for information from regulatory bodies
•Report to the legal and compliance officer SA and SSA (LCO) and keep her appraised of legal and compliance issues/concerns in SSA
•Maintain and manage compliance to PharmaCode in the region and take appropriate corrective action as required
•Develop and implement business continuity planning for the region
•Develop and maintain a Risk Register for the region
•Follow and comply with an annual audit plan as agreed to with LCO SA and SSA
•Implement all remediation plans with regard to compliance audits (internal and external)


Minimum Requirements
The successful applicant must possess solid experience in Risk management, finance and legal controls and audit experience is advantageous.
