Layer3 is a dynamic, innovative and professional services organization and systems integrator, specializing in the design, implementation and support of complex voice, video and data networks. With offices based in Lagos and Abuja, we are currently looking to employ a bright, vivacious, and innovative individual to join our team as the Company Financial Accountant.

This role is based in Abuja and will report directly to the ED, Finance & Strategy, and will require commercial awareness, attention to detail, strong business ethics and a flexible approach to work & office hours.

Some cyclical duties will include preparing the monthly management reports, monthly maintenance of the company workbooks, preparing VAT returns, producing the Annual Statutory Accounts. You will also be help to setup up pricing; cost projects; calculate commissions; set up vendor payment plans; and be the primary account manager and be responsible for handling 2nd level escalations.

Qualifications and personality traits we will be looking out for:

• First degree in Accounting & further professional certification (ICAN or ACA) would be an advantage
• Knowledge of current laws and practices regarding taxes, vat, payee, and pension
• Awareness and ability to demonstrate the importance of ethics & codes of conduct in the workplace

• Ability to demonstrate capacity to drive, amend, and create accounting & or financial processes & procedures
• Ability to achieve daily targets while attending to impromptu activities that may occur
• Capacity to withstand pressure with practical examples from past experience
• Experience in working in the same capacity in a similar sized firm
• Not less than 1 year post graduation experience but no more than 3 years in a similar service.
• A considerable knowledge of purchasing, importation, vendor and inventory management is required
• Excellent written and verbal communicator, computer literate with experience in using Quick books
• Assertive & firm personality & a person who pays attention to detail
