Job Description :
•Managing corporate finance mandates on behalf of clients from engagement through to completion.
•Support for investments and acquisitions by Triodos funds – including financial analysis and managing investment processes.
•Producing and approving investment memoranda and prospectus documents for capital raising projects both for Triodos funds and clients, including close management of these through the Bank’s required internal processes.
•Clearly communicate the needs of investor groups to others in the Investment Banking Department in order to drive new product development.
•Maintain clear systems for relationship management with investors and adhering to internal policies, procedures and processes.
•Keeping abreast of new developments and players in the sector.
•Overseeing, managing and participating in ad hoc projects which may include international deals.
•Structuring investment products from an optimal financial and taxation perspective in conjunction with external advisers.
•Building and developing relationships with ethical investors, including private individuals, private banks, trusts, institutions and intermediaries and distributing investment products to these groups.
•Contributing to the development of new investment products in areas such as renewable energy, overseas development, social enterprises and the organic sector.
•Liaise with colleagues in Triodos on international equity products managed by Triodos Bank.
•Working closely with the Investor Relations Managers within the Investment Banking team to ensure equity products are marketed successfully to existing and potential customers.
•Building and maintaining profile and relations with other professionals and multipliers within the UK corporate finance community.
•Any other duties that may be required from time to time.

Purposeof the bank that offers the banking jobs:
Since 1997, Triodos Bank has been authorised by the Financial Services Authority for the provision of regulated Investment Services. We have raised funds for a range of ethical companies (such as Café direct, Ecotricity and the Ethical Property Company) as well as our own funds (including Triodos Renewables, Triodos Opportunities Fund and The Real Food Pub Company).
Across Europe, Triodos manages around £1 billion across a number of investment funds including microfinance, global equity funds, venture capital and renewable energy.
The UK Investment Banking Department has grown rapidly over the last three years and consists of three main functions:
•Corporate Finance – including capital raising, M&A and general corporate finance advisory for existing and prospective sustainable clients, as well as due diligence, planning, preparation and registration of documentation to support Triodos fund investment activities.
•Management of our own Funds (incl Triodos Renewables and the Triodos Opportunities Fund).
•Marketing of Triodos international funds in the UK (e.g Triodos Microfinance Fund), and
Skill Requirementsfor the banking Jobs: You need to have a degree level qualification in a business or financial field (ideally ACA, CIMA or MBA) and have at least 5 years post qualification corporate finance experience.
We are looking for a friendly persona and “self starter - can do” attitude combined with an affinity to Triodos values. An extensive experience in corporate finance advisory including mergers and acquisitions, fundraising and due diligence reporting. A proven track recordand ability to originate, develop and maintain client relationships at a senior level, whilst retaining astute business judgement.
Experience of preparing and shaping compliant investment fundraising documentation to fit a specific client need and presenting this with clarity.
Excellent business planning, report writing and financial modelling skills. Good networking, marketing and personal presentation skills. A genuine interest in people and the planet.
