A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Pensions Administrator to join our Human Resources team in Potters Bar. Working within a busy team of 4 people and reporting to the Head of our Operations team you will play the leading role in the coordination and administration of the Final Salary and Money Purchase Pension schemes and associated benefits. You will be consulting with the Secretary to the Pension Scheme trustees to identify and develop process improvement and efficiency opportunities of the schemes including automation. Specific duties will include

Review Regulatory and Statutory changes and guidelines to assess their impact on the Canada Life scheme, identify any changes required and work with other members of the HR team to implement any required changes.

Assist scheme advisers in the preparation/collection of all statutory/regulatory/scheme specific documents (e.g. valuations, funding statements, accounts, CICA etc)

Provide guidance on complex cases, liaising with the Scheme Advisers and Scheme members as appropriate.

To be able to deputise for the Pensions Administrators, as required to undertake day to day pensions work on the Final Salary and Money Purchase pension schemes.

To be successful in this role it is essential to have an in depth knowledge of administering occupational pension schemes Final Salary and Money Purchase.It is preferable that you are working towards or are already PMI qualified and have a working knowledge of the profund Open and Classic pension systems.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years Pensions Administration experience, experience of working with senior management, along with proven ability to analyse complex legislation. You will possess excellent attention to detail and strong Excel skills and have the ability to manipulate data as required.Good written and verbal communication skills are essential as is a can do attitude.

SALARY/BENEFITS : Up to £35k per annum depending on experience plus competitive benefit
